Tooth Extractions

When teeth are severely damaged or impacted below the gumline, including wisdom teeth, Dr. Holger and his team can safely extract them to prevent further damage to your mouth. Issues such as impacted teeth can alter the alignment of your smile over time and even put you at an increased risk of oral infection, so we do our best to spot these red flags as early as possible so we can remove them in a timely and effective manner.

Connective Tissue Grafting

You may have heard of connective tissue grafting also referred to as “gum tissue grafting.” This procedure can be used to help reverse one of the major effects of gum disease, called gum recession. When the gums recede, they can expose the vulnerable root structures of the teeth and put them in harm’s way. With connective tissue grafting, Dr. Holger will remove healthy soft tissue from the roof of the mouth or behind your molars and use it to restore the gumline, preventing serious dental concerns down the road, like tooth loss.

Lip & Tongue-Tie Treatment

Young children and even adults can face what’s called a lip or tongue-tie. Each of these issues can limit oral mobility and can have a variety of effects, ranging from limited weight gain for infants to speech impediments and even sleep-breathing disorders. To help improve the movement of the tongue and lips, one of our dentists can remove excess tissue from the frenum, which is the strip that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth and the lips to the gumline.
